How to Make paper Popper

A paper popper, also known as a "flapper," is a fun and easy paper craft that creates a loud popping sound when flicked. Here are the steps to make a paper popper:

Materials:

  • A rectangular piece of paper (any size)
  • Scissors

Instructions:

  1. Take your rectangular piece of paper and fold it in half lengthwise. Crease the fold and then unfold the paper.

  2. Fold one of the short edges of the paper up to meet the center crease you just made.

  3. Fold the other short edge of the paper up to meet the center crease as well.

  4. Fold the paper in half again along the center crease. Crease it well and then unfold it.

  5. Now, take the bottom edge of the paper and fold it up along the first crease you made in step 1.

  6. Flip the paper over and fold the other side up along the same crease.

  7. Fold the paper in half again along the center crease.

  8. Using scissors, cut two small slits in the folded end of the paper. Make sure the slits are about 1 cm apart and are cut through both layers of paper.

  9. Fold the paper along the center crease and then tuck the folded end of the paper into the slits you just cut. Be sure to fold the tucked end over itself to secure it.

  10. Hold the paper popper by the ends and then give it a quick flick of the wrist. This will cause the folded end to pop out and create a loud popping sound.

With these simple steps, you can make your own paper popper and have fun popping it over and over again.
